This series lets you explore museums through drawings and sketches. We chose “The National Museum of Nature and Science” in Ueno, Tokyo as the first of the series. The museum has two pavilions: The “Japan Pavilion” which tells the history of the Japanese people and their islands and the “Earth Pavilion” which displays activities right through history of the earth and scientific developments. A complete Triceratops skelton, of which only two exist in the world; a full size figure of people from the Jomon periods produced by “Kaifu do”; a restored fighter aircraft, Zero Sen; 115 specimens packed in a huge round display case etc… “The National Museum of Nature and Science” is probably the only place that you can see such varied collections in one place. “Digital Museum 1/ The National Museum of Nature and Science” was based on sketches the author worked on in the museum over a period of four months.
